President Ali Gudlawe has blamed the decision to suspend the results of elections held for a local seat on “political motivation.”
Gudlawe, the President of the HirShabelle State, hit out strongly at the electoral body for suspending results for HOP#086.
Apparently, Fahad Yasin Haji Dahir emerged victorious in the recent elections held for the House of the People (Lower House) seat.
Yasin is the immediate former Director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA).
He’s also been one of President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo’s staunchest allies.
On April 14, Gudlawe complained about the decision by the Federal Elections Implementation Team (FEIT) to cancel the results.
According to Gudlawe, the community that elected Yasin had not raised any complaints regarding the results and the entire electoral process.
