Human rights organizations have urged the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) to drop the charges filed against Abdalle Ahmed Mumin.
Mumin, an award-winning journalist, is back behind bars after authorities in the country arrested him this week.
Some of the organizations that called for the dropping of the charges include Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), Human Rights Watch, and Amnesty International.
In their statement, the organizations condemned the government for victimizing and frustrating strong-willed journalists in the country.
