Huruse, Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, held the discussions with Antonio Guterres, the UN Secretary-General.
They also spoke about ongoing political reforms in the East African nation.
Humanitarian response measures and the deadly clashes in Las Anod featured prominently in their discussions on Thursday too.
Huruse has been in New York for much of this week attending high-level pledging response to the devastating humanitarian situation in the Horn of Africa region.
