International partners have called for calm in Garowe.
They issued a press statement on Wednesday calling for calm and restraint in Garowe, which had witnessed violent clashes.
“We are concerned about the violence witnessed in Garowe and the impact it could have on civilians,” read part of the statement.
They called for a de-escalation of the situation.
“It is our hope that all stakeholders would embrace dialogue as the only avenue for addressing and resolving their differences,” they continued.
Without dialogue, all previous positive outcomes could be jeopardized.
