The Italian government has congratulated Somalia for approving the new cabinet that Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre announced last week.
Italy extended its congratulations through its Embassy in Somalia.
Somalia approved the new cabinet when the federal House of the People (Lower House) endorsed all the names that Prime Minister Barre included in his cabinet.
The Lower House approved the cabinet when 229 of its legislators endorsed the list in a session held on Sunday, August 7.
In its statement, Italy committed itself to work closely with the new Somali government for the good of all Somalis in the country.
