United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative in Somalia, Lionel Laurens, and his deputy, Christopher Laker, met with Okaniwa Ken, the Ambassador of Japan to Somalia, in Nairobi, Kenya on Tuesday.
During their meeting, they discussed strengthening the partnership between Japan and UNDP.
Their discussions focused on ways that the partnership could advance sustainable development in Somalia, particularly in the areas of human security, peace, stability, and economic development.
Both UNDP and Japan reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Somalia’s long-term progress and resilience, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in achieving these goals.
