Jimale Accuses Prime Minister of Inciting Chaos and Unrest

Hassan Hundubey Jimale, the recently sacked Minister of Internal Security, has accused Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble of “inciting chaos and unrest.”

Jimale spoke in the aftermath of the decision by the Prime Minister to relieve him of his duties as the Minister of Internal Security.

He protested the decision to sack him.

In his view, Jimale believes that the Prime Minister is only interested in inciting chaos and unrest throughout the country.

Jimale is the second senior official of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) to have been sent home by the Prime Minister in less than a week.

First, Roble sacked Fahad Yasin from his position as the Director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA).

President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo vehemently opposed Yasin’s sacking.

The President has already spoken about Jimale’s ouster too. He called the move by Roble “illegal and unconstitutional.”
