Journalists and Social Media Activists in Mogadishu for Training on Reporting Sexual Violence

Journalists and social media activists have gathered in Mogadishu for training on reporting incidences of sexual violence.

The training brings together 40 journalists and social media activists.

The workshop is the brainchild of the Media Women Network, which has organized it to equip journalists and social media activists with skills for reporting such matters.

Gender-based violence (GBV) is a huge problem in Somalia.

The workshop kicked off in the nation’s capital on Tuesday, January 17.

At the end of the training, journalists and social media activists should be able to report and follow up on GBV cases around Somalia.
