The regional state of Jubbaland has vowed to speed up its counterterrorism operations.
President Ahmed Sheikh Islam Madobe of Jubbaland chaired discussions on this matter on Friday.
Discussing the matter with his security officers, they agreed to eliminate terrorists from the region.
Furthermore, they also agreed to liberate towns that have been under the control of the terrorists.
Senior officers from the Somali National Armed Forces (SNAF) attended the discussions.
They joined their colleagues from the Jubbaland Regional Forces.
