President Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen of Somalia’s Southwest State has reaffirmed the region’s commitment to safeguarding and facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid.
This announcement was made during a signing ceremony in Baidoa city, where the President emphasized the critical importance of ensuring that aid reaches vulnerable populations affected by crises.
He highlighted that access to assistance is a fundamental right for everyone, particularly those in dire need due to ongoing challenges.
This commitment underscores the region’s dedication to supporting humanitarian efforts and addressing the needs of its most affected communities.
Laftagareen offered this assurance in Baidoa on Sunday while signing the Safeguarding Humanitarian Assistance Law in a ceremony attended by top officers in his administration and representatives of aid bodies.
