A leading peace activist in Somalia has been laid to rest.
Ali Ugas Abdulle, who distinguished himself as a peace activist and politician, was buried in Mogadishu on Monday.
His interment took place a few hours after passing away.
Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre led other dignitaries in attending the burial ceremony of the former Mayor of Mogadishu.
They first participated in prayers for the deceased before his body was lowered into the ground.
