Madobe Discusses Somalia’s Electoral Impasse with Berlanga and Swan

President Ahmed Islam Madobe of the regional state of Jubbaland discussed Somalia’s ongoing electoral impasse with two representatives of the country’s international partners.

On February 23, he hosted Ambassador James Swan and Ambassador Nicolas Berlanga at his office in Kismayo.

During the meeting, Madobe, Berlanga, and Swan discussed ways of solving the impasse that has prevented the country from holding the long due parliamentary or presidential elections.

Swan is the United Nations Special Envoy to Somalia. Berlanga is the European Union Ambassador to Somalia.
