A midwife has succumbed to injuries sustained when security forces shot her in Mogadishu earlier this week.
Saadia Abdi, a mother of a 3-year old baby, succumbed to her injuries on February 17.
Abdi had been working as a midwife at Digfeer Hospital in Somalia’s capital at the time of her shooting and subsequent death.
At the time of the shooting, Abdi was in an auto-rickshaw in Mogadishu.
Members of the country’s security forces shot her and other passengers in the rickshaw.
Abdi sustained injuries. Consequently, she was rushed to a nearby hospital where she had been receiving treatment ever since.
