Mogadishu Launches Program to Care for Vulnerable People and IDPs

Mogadishu has launched a program to care for vulnerable families and internally displaced persons (IDPs).

Dr. Ali Hajiadam Abubakar, the federal Minister of Health, launched the exercise on Sunday.

He announced that the exercise would support enhancement of maternal and child health for both groups.

Mahamuud Moallim, the Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) attended the event.

International partners sent their representatives too.

The purpose of the project is to address the critical health needs of women and girls rendered helpless by displacement and other related crises.
