Somalia’s National Drought Relief Committee donated food supplies to drought-stricken families in two towns.
The committee donated the foodstuff to families in Beledweyne and Hudur towns.
According to a communiqué from the committee’s secretariat, the food would specifically benefit families affected by the ongoing drought.
Several sources, including the Somali government, have published reports indicating the severity of the drought.
Millions of individuals and families are at risk of starvation, disease, and death.
The foodstuff that the drought committee donated reached the intended families and individuals in the two towns on Tuesday, January 11.
