The new Director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) has vowed to prioritize the recruitment of female officers.
NISA Director Abdullahi Mohamed Sanbalolshe said this while taking over from Mahad Salad officially in a brief ceremony held on Tuesday.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud also attended the handing over ceremony.
Sanbalolshe took over from Salad who resigned from his office last week.
In his speech, Sanbalolshe promised that the agency will seek to recruit more female officers to make it more inclusive.
