He succeeds Major General Ibrahim Sheikh Muhiyidin, marking a strategic leadership transition aimed at bolstering the Somali military’s readiness and operational effectiveness.
This change in command comes as Somalia continues to intensify its efforts against security threats, including counter-terrorism operations.
