Abdiqadir M. Mursal, a renowned Somali journalist and writer has died.
The journalist’s death was confirmed to the public on Thursday, October 1.
Abdirahman Abdishakur, the leader of the opposition Wadajir Party, sent his condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
He described Mursal as one of the “pillars of the country’s press.”
Further, Mursal has been hailed as one of the country’s finest fiction writers with his “Olol iyo Hooyadii” stories described as among his most captivating works.
