Roble Calls for Immediate Assistance to Jubaland’s Drought Victims

Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has issued a call for immediate assistance to victims of the ongoing severe drought in Jubaland State.

The Prime Minister issued the appeal on October 17.

While addressing the issue, Prime Minister Roble also called for “urgent arrangements” to address the matter before it worsens.

Furthermore, he urged government institutions to take immediate action to respond to the drought and the challenges it presents.

The Jubaland drought is quite severe.

Global organizations such as the United Nations – and all its various agencies operating in Somalia – have called for urgent humanitarian assistance.
