Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble held a meeting with representatives of the international community to discuss Somalia elections.
The meeting took place on February 24 at the Office of the Prime Minister in Mogadishu.
He briefed the representatives about the status of the recent meeting between President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo and regional state leaders from Federal Member States (FMS).
Puntland and Jubbaland leaders failed to attend last week’s meeting.
Farmaajo’s office has since sent an invitation to the Puntland and Jubbaland leaders to join their colleagues from HirShabelle, Galmudug, Southwest, and Banadir Region.
On Wednesday, Roble and the representatives of Somalia’s international partners discussed ways of overcoming impediments to the elections.
They also discussed security and the need for maintaining stability in the nation.
