Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has urged authorities in Benadir to solve water-related problems in the region.
Roble sent out a plea to Benadir authorities to ensure that local taxpayers are served.
He made this call on Monday, November 2.
The new Prime Minister instructed the regional administration to address the “water blockade of several roads in the region immediately.”
Additionally, he also encouraged authorities to ensure that the capital, Mogadishu, is cleaned frequently to transform it from an eyesore to an attraction.
Roble also reminded local authorities to help the people affected by the intense rains that have hit the region for several months and weeks now.
The heavy rains have caused flooding while making certain roads and areas impassable.
