Authorities have tightened security in Mogadishu ahead of Eid-Al-Fitr celebrations.
Security officers patrolled the streets and neighborhoods of the capital city as residents prepared for the Eid-Al-Fitr celebrations scheduled for Wednesday.
Reports from the Somali Police Force (SPF) headquarters indicate that officers are already at the site of today’s celebrations.
Drivers were also asked to observe traffic rules.
Police threatened to arrest and prosecute any person found carrying excess passengers or over-speeding.
Authorities further urged parents to keep a close eye on their children.
