SNA Commander Killed in Counterterrorism Operation Buried in Mogadishu

A senior Somali National Army (SNA) commander who was killed in a recent operation against Al-Shabaab has been buried.

Maj. Abdi Mohamed Sulnug was laid to rest in Mogadishu on Sunday.

Brig. Gen. Ibrahim Sheikh Muhiydin, the SNA chief, attended Maj. Sulnug’s burial. He was with several other dignitaries.

In his speech to other mourners, Brig. Gen. Muhiydin said that Sulnug had left behind a legacy of service and dedication to the nation.
