On Wednesday in Mogadishu, the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) Commissioner, Mahamuud Moallim, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Abdullahi Afrah, Chairman of the Mother and Child Care Agency.
The agreement outlines a collaborative effort to enhance support for the Somali community by helping SoDMA acquire and distribute emergency medical supplies.
SODMA expressed hope that the partnership would improve access to essential healthcare resources during emergencies.
It added that the MoU would ensure more effective disaster response and care for vulnerable groups, particularly mothers and children.
