BELGRADE, Serbia – Somalia’s Ambassador to Serbia, Mohamed Abdullahi Ahmed, along with other embassy officials, visited the Marshal Tito Training Centre today to observe and motivate Somali officers participating in specialized training.
These elite officers, forming the unit responsible for protecting National Leaders, are engaged in an advanced development program organized by Serbian authorities.
Speaking at the renowned military academy, Amb. Ahmed thanked the Serbian Government, particularly the Ministry of Interior and Security, for their commitment to strengthening Somalia’s security capabilities. He stressed the significance of this collaboration, emphasizing that the specialized training these officers receive is essential for safeguarding Somalia’s key institutions.
Addressing the officers directly, the Ambassador encouraged them to fully seize this valuable opportunity. He underscored their important future duties and advised them to undertake their training with dedication, expertise, and a pursuit of excellence.
“You are here to learn skills crucial for our country. I ask you to complete this demanding training with honor so you can return prepared to serve Somalia at the highest capacity,” Amb. Ahmed remarked.
This training initiative represents wider security collaboration between Somalia and Serbia, demonstrating the growing diplomatic and military connections between the two countries.
