Somali Children with Heart Problems Travel to Italy for Treatment

Several Somali children diagnosed with wide-ranging heart conditions have left the country for medical treatment in Italy.

The minors departed from the Aden Adde International Airport on Sunday.

They left Mogadishu in the company of their parents and guardians for treatment that has been facilitated by GRT, an Italian non-governmental organization (NGO).

Other organizations that made the trip possible include Niguarda Hospital and Hormuud Salaam Foundation (HSF).

The lot traveling today is the first batch. Others will travel later.
