Deputy Prime Minister Salah Jama is in Banjul for the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Heads of Summit conference.
He arrived for the conference in the Gambian capital city on Saturday.
Guests at the OIC Heads of State Summit will discuss several topics including political unity as well as economic and social development.
Further, they will discuss ways of combating Islamophobia.
OIC Heads of State are also scheduled to hold talks on ways of addressing the effects of climate change and food security.
