The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has expressed sadness over the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
Queen Elizabeth II passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, September 8.
Her close relatives were by her side at the final hour.
Somalia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation issued a press statement consoling the people of the United Kingdom for losing their monarch.
At the time of her death, Queen Elizabeth was 96 years old.
She sets the record for being the United Kingdom’s longest-reigning monarch.
Somalia’s foreign affairs ministry described her as “a shining symbol of dedication, devotion, humanity, and hard work.”
