Officers from the Somali Police Force (SPF) arrested the Secretary-General of the Somali Journalists Syndicate (SJS).
Police officers arrested Abdalle Ahmed Mumin at Jazeera Hotel in Mogadishu on Thursday.
Eyewitnesses added that the police arrested the SJS official forcefully without showing him or anyone else a warrant of arrest.
Further, they are yet to provide reasons for arresting Mumin.
According to a communiqué by SJS confirming Mumin’s arrest, nobody knows where the police have taken the award-winning journalist.
