Somali Police Force has revealed the identity of the police officer who shot and killed two civilians in Mogadishu.
The officer was identified as Hassan Adan Hassan, who is 24 years old.
Hassan shot two civilians who were protesting the recent announcement by the Federal Government of Somalia to extend curfew hours.
The two civilians died on the spot. Hassan shot them on Friday evening at the junction of Jubba in Mogadishu.
He is currently under arrest awaiting his day in court. According to authorities, Hassan is likely to be charged with murder.
The two civilians he shot were also identified as Hassan Ali Adawe and Ms. Madino Abdilahi Abdi, who are 24-years and 17-years respectively.
