Somali police successfully stopped inter-clan clashes in Middle Shabelle.
A special unit from the Somali Police Force (SPF) deployed to the region earlier this week brought the clashes to an end fast.
Gen. Abdullahi Mire, the commander of the Darwish Forces, confirmed the success of the exercise.
He encouraged local residents to embrace peace.
“Anyone who violates the peace of Middle Shabelle will be held accountable for his or her actions and face justice,” said Gen. Mire.
