President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia has reinstated the ranks and benefits of Brigadier General Sadak Omar John.
Brig. Gen. Sadak John lost his rank and benefits under the administration of ex-President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo.
The two clashed severally over many issues.
The straw that broke the camel’s back was when Brig. Gen. Sadak John called out ex-President Farmaajo for seeking to extend his term in office illegally.
Consequently, Farmaajo stripped him of his rank and all attendant benefits.
On August 15, President Mohamud reinstated all of his army ranks.
Currently, Brig. Gen. Sadak John is a lawmaker in the federal House of the People (Lower House).
