President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has appealed to civil servants accused of corruption to stop fleeing the country.
The President said this on Friday while delivering his weekly address to the nation.
He was speaking over recent stories that several government officers fled the country after they were accused of corruption.
The Office of the Attorney General has brought dozens of corruption cases to court in the last 2-3 months.
“Stay in the country and fight to clear your name if you never stole or embezzled public funds,” President Mohamud stated.
