President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud urged the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) to strengthen its bond with members of public.
The President issued this clarion call while witnessing the handing over of the NISA reins to Abdullahi Mohamed Ali Sanbalolshe.
Sanbalolshe takes over from Mahad Salad who resigned as the NISA director last week.
The handing over ceremony took place on Tuesday.
President Mohamud urged NISA to demonstrate commitment to Somalia as a nation rather than individual leadership.
Further, he urged NISA to strengthen its bond of trust with the public and launch a unified stance against terrorism in the country.
