Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has welcomed the ceasefire declared in Las Anod.
The Prime Minister called for immediate access to humanitarian assistance for the people whose lives were devastated by the Las Anod clashes.
Las Anod has been the scene of unending conflicts over the last few weeks.
The conflicts, which arose when Somaliland troops clashed with militants sympathetic to Somalia, left thousands of people displaced from their homes.
Prime Minister Barre added that the need for emergency relief in Las Anod is more pressing now than ever before.
