Speaker Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur Madobe of the House of the People met with a delegation of United Nations officials.
He briefed the UN officials on governance and electoral issues.
Some of the UN officials who turned up for the meeting include Serge G. Kubwimana, Ms. Mikyong Kim, Luiz Martinez Betanzos, and Walter Lotze.
They discussed upcoming elections in Somalia.
Speaker Madobe and the UN team agreed that Somalia needs to hold better elections than any that it has ever held.
