Somali youth have been encouraged to make meaningful contributions to their communities.
Niyi Ojuolape, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Representative to Somalia, made this call to the country’s youth on Monday.
“The youths of this country have to participate in decision-making on matters affecting them and their communities,” said Ojuolape.
He added that empowered youths are the greatest advocates and agents of change.
The UNFPA Representative urged authorities to ensure that the nation’s youths get access to the right opportunities for bettering themselves and their communities.
