Somalia has asked for increased drone attacks against Al-Shabaab terrorists.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud said this during the recent National Consultative Council (NCC).
He was addressing the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and Federal Member States (FMS) officers who attended the recent NCC.
The President stated that drone attacks could make the fight against Al-Shabaab more effective.
United States Africa Command (AFRICOM) killed 15 key leaders of the Al-Shabaab militia on December 18.
AFRICOM used drone attacks to hit the militants.
President Mohamud encouraged security agencies to use any tool available to eliminate the Al-Shabaab group from the country.
