Somalia is capable of playing a pivotal role in the regional green initiatives.
Abdallah Al Dardari, the Regional Director of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) for Arab States, declared this on Friday.
Dardari said this during his meeting with Khadija Mohamed Al-Makhzoumi, the Somali Minister of Environment and Climate Change.
They held talks on this issue at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP28).
Other issues discussed include bilateral cooperation and climate action.
Dardari assured Al-Makhzoumi that the UNDP is prepared to work closely with Somalia to improve green initiatives in the country.
