Somalia’s Foreign Minister, Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, has strongly denied allegations that Ethiopia has been granted access to the Red Sea.
Addressing the claims on Wednesday, he stated, “These baseless assertions lack any foundation. Somalia remains committed to protecting its sovereignty and ensuring transparency on national issues.”
This clarification comes amid regional discussions on maritime access and sovereignty, as well as heightened scrutiny of Ethiopia’s geopolitical intentions following recent controversial agreements.
Minister Fiqi reaffirmed Somalia’s steadfast commitment to its territorial integrity and national interests.
