Farah Sheikh Abdulkadir, Somalia’s Minister of Education, highlighted his ministry’s achievements while addressing his colleagues from other Islamic countries on Thursday.
He emphasized the significant progress Somalia has made in education during the Education Ministers’ Conference of Islamic Countries in Muscat.
Abdulkadir noted that Somalia has successfully increased its education budget from 3% to nearly 10% in recent years.
Additionally, over the past two years, the government has hired 6,000 new teachers.
The minister added that there are plans to employ 25,000 more educators within the next five years, marking a substantial investment in the nation’s educational future.
