Somalia is to introduce PCV and Rotavirus vaccines to help avert child deaths in the country.
The Ministry of Health has successfully negotiated to introduce the vaccines.
Somalia has witnessed numerous child deaths over several years.
The introduction of the vaccines would enable the country to avert over 35,000 child deaths.
These deaths are often the result of diseases such as diarrhea, Pneumonia, and meningitis.
The target is to end these deaths by 2030.
