Somalia is in mourning following the sudden demise of a former Speaker of the House of the People.
Professor Mohamed Osman Jawari passed away in Mogadishu on Friday.
Jawari served in many capacities and he is best remembered for his role as the Speaker of the Lower House.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud led the nation in mourning one of Somalia’s most illustrious sons.
He expressed heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
