The son of the President of Somalia was involved in a traffic accident in Turkey.
Mohamed Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, the son of President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, was in an accident that caused the death of a Turkish motorcyclist.
Mohamud was in the car that hit the motorcycle that the 38-year-old Yunus Emre Gocer was riding. Gocer died in the incident.
Sources revealed that the accident took place on November 30.
At the time of the accident, which took place at the Aksaray exit near the Eurasia Tunnel, Gocer had stopped at a traffic light. Gocer’s car rear-ended and injured him.
Gocer was driving a vehicle that was registered to the Somali Consulate.
Gocer was then rushed to the Istanbul Training Research Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries six days later.
