Somalia is the recipient of a grant worth $100 million from the International Development Association (IDA)/Global Financing Facility (GFF).
The East African country’s Ministry of Health received the grant on January 12 on behalf of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS).
The grant is the first-ever the country has had approved in the last 30 years.
Senior officials from the health ministry were on hand to receive the fund on behalf of the government and the people of Somalia.
