Somalia has announced plans to introduce a new grading system and pay scale for civil servants.
The East African nation took this new trajectory when its Council of Ministers held its weekly meeting in Mogadishu on Thursday, December 1.
Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre chaired the latest Council of Ministers meeting.
Afterward, sources indicated that the cabinet ministers had approved the Pay Council and Procedure on grade and salary bands for all civil servants in the country.
