Somalia plans to review and develop its national policy on natural disasters.
The Committee on Natural Resources and Environment of the House of the People (Lower House) announced this after meeting officials of the national disaster organization.
Members of the parliamentary committee met with officials of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA) on Monday.
They discussed the review of the National Policy on Natural Disasters.
Furthermore, the legislators and SODMA officers agreed on the need to develop the policy as a means of protecting the most vulnerable group of people.
