Somalia’s Chief Justice Departs for Egypt for African Conference

Somalia’s Chief Justice has left the country to attend a conference in Egypt.

Chief Justice Bashe Y. Ahmed left the East African nation on Friday, September 9.

He is scheduled to join his colleagues from other nations for the 6th High-Level Meeting of the Chief Justices and Presidents of the Supreme and Constitutional Courts of Africa.

The conference will be held in Cairo, Egypt.

The plane carrying Chief Justice Ahmed departed the Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu on Friday evening.

Chief Justice Ahmed also serves as the President of the Supreme Court of Somalia.
