Somalia’s Deputy Prime Minister Arrives in Niger for AU Summit

The Deputy Prime Minister of Somalia has arrived in Niger for an African Union (AU) Summit on Industrialization and Economic Diversification.

Deputy Prime Minister Salah Jama arrived at the Diori Hamani International Airport in Niamey, the capital of Niger on Thursday.

Prime Minister Mahamadou Ouhoumoudou of Niger was at the airport to receive and welcome the Somali leader to the country.

The Somali Deputy Prime Minister joins colleagues from other AU member countries at the Summit.

Initially, the Summit was to take place on November 20-24, 2021 in Niamey.

However, organizers postponed it to this year owing to unavoidable circumstances.
