The gross domestic product (GDP) of Somalia is projected to grow by as much as 3.1 percent in 2024.
In 2022, it grew by 2.4 percent.
This year’s growth hinges mainly on the revival that the East African nation has witnessed in sectors such as agriculture and livestock.
The reforms the country has undertaken to achieve Heavily Indebted Poor Countries (HIPC) Completion Point have helped considerably too.
According to the World Bank, next year Somalia could enjoy 3.9 percent growth in GDP.
